Mission Statement and Strategic Plan

To represent its members and the practice of pharmacy in health care settings by providing leadership to advance pharmaceutical care and achieve optimal patient outcomes.

To accomplish this, NMSHP shall:

1. Increase the visibility of the association by

a. Optimize the NMSHP website

b. Improve and expand the use of Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, ASHP Connect etc.)

c. Timely communication with members on issues affecting pharmacy

2. Improve access to CPE resources for Pharmacists and Technicians by

a. Maintaining the Annual Balloon Fiesta Symposium

b. Explore opportunities to partner with peer organizations to increase CPE opportunities

c. Pursue more CPE opportunities outside of Albuquerque

3. Maintain and increase membership of Pharmacists, Residents, Technicians and Students by

a. Understand what is considered the value of membership by potential and current members

b. Developing a promotional materials to describe the value and benefits of membership

c. Providing leadership development and opportunities for networking

4. Maintain financial stability by

a. Increase membership income

b. Increasing non-dues revenue (t-shirts, exhibits and sponsors)
